Mexico Wedding Packages: Best All Inclusive Wedding Resorts In Cancun
It seems like it should be simple to book a wedding at an all inclusive resort, right? But when you start looking at the wedding packages it gets confusing. There’s so many options, at so many resorts. And they all look fabulous. TBH most of them are fabulous. But that makes it even harder to sort through all the options!
Most packages include a symbolic ceremony plus chairs, cake and champagne for a certain number of people. But then they start adding extras. That’s where it gets confusing.
How to Choose Your All Inclusive Wedding Package
A lot of packages will include terrific extras and perks. Things like spa treatments, free upgrades, and discounts on your first anniversary. Some resorts even offer free wedding china. These are all good things, but not really necessary for your actual wedding. To get the most for your money, make sure the package you choose has the items you really need.
If you can’t decide between two packages or resorts, all those extra perks could be your deciding factor. But they’re not the most important - so ignore them until you’ve chosen the packages that has the right amount of chairs, wine and cake for your guests.
For an easy way to figure it out, start by deciding what you want included in your wedding package. That way, when you look through the list of options, you’ll know right away if that package will work for you or if you should cross it off your list.
For example, if you’re inviting 18 guests and you decide want your bouquets, meals and drinks all included in the package price, then you can look at only packages that include those items. To narrow down your choices, you can just ignore all the packages that don’t fit your needs.

Before You Look at All Inclusive Wedding Packages
Estimate how many guests you’ll have
Decide if you’ll have a symbolic ceremony or a legal ceremony
Decide if you want a private reception
Tips For Choosing Your All Inclusive Wedding Package
Estimate How Many Guests Will Be Coming
Most resorts offer wedding packages at different price levels. The more guests you’re inviting, the bigger package you’ll need to buy. The lowest priced package usually covers 10 guests or less. If you’re inviting more than that, you’ll need to look at bigger packages.
Do You Want a Symbolic Ceremony or a Legal Wedding Ceremony?
Most all inclusive wedding packages include a symbolic ceremony. If you want to have a legal ceremony, it usually costs extra. If the prices aren’t listed on the website, email the wedding coordinator at the resort and include the extra cost in your budget.
For more details about getting married in Mexico, including how to have a legal ceremony, read this next Destination Wedding in Mexico: How to Get Married in Mexico.
Booking a Private Dinner For Your Wedding Reception
The lowest priced wedding packages usually include dinner at one of the restaurants. If a private reception is important to you, make sure to choose a package that includes it.
Open Bar at Your Reception
Some resorts don’t include an open bar for your wedding reception. Most do, but check your package to make sure. If there is an extra cost for the open bar, add it to your budget.
What Do You Want Included In Your Wedding Package?
If you can get everything you need in your package, it’ll be easy to set and stick to your budget. There’ll be no surprises when you get to the resort. Plus, you’ll have less things to worry about.
Do You Want to Add Any Extras to Your Wedding?
Most resorts offer extras or upgrades to your package. You can add bigger bouquets, extra decorations, or luxury table linens and chairs. You can also upgrade your reception with extra cocktail hours, appetizers or a premium menu. You can even hire live musicians or a mariachi band. Do you have any room in your budget for extras?
Start Looking at Wedding Resorts in Cancun
Once you’ve figured out what you want in your wedding package, start looking at resorts in Cancun or Riviera Maya. You can find most of their packages and prices on their websites. Read through the price list and decide which package you’d like.
For those considering a destination wedding in Cancun, Paradise Weddings offer all inclusive resorts for your perfect wedding getaway.
After you’ve found some packages that fit your budget, start adding on the extras. If the price list for extras and upgrades isn’t on the website, make sure to email the wedding coordinator at the resort and ask for it. Once they send you the list, check the prices and make sure all the extras you want will fit into your budget.
Best All Inclusive Wedding Resorts in Mexico
There are so many resorts it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Don’t worry - I’ve picked a few of my favorites to start you off! Here’s some of the best resorts in Cancun that offer all inclusive wedding packages. They all have great reviews from real couples who’ve gotten married there. All these resorts have thousands of 4 and 5 star reviews on travel websites. Travelers love the food, service and amenities - and your guests will too.
When you look at packages, remember to ignore all the extras until you’ve decided if the package has the items you need for your wedding. In my reviews below, I didn’t even list the extras. I only included the necessities - the number of guests, the type of reception and inclusions for your ceremony or reception.
Even though I haven’t listed them, a lot of the packages do include wonderful extras, things like spa discounts, room upgrades and late checkouts. If you’re interested in a package, make sure to visit the resort’s website to see everything that’s included.
